Sprawling
over 67 acres of lush greenery, The Sarala Birla Academy
is committed to providing wholesome quality education.
Situated at Bannerghata, Bangalore, about 60 km from the
Bangalore International Airport, this boarding school
for boys has been instituted by Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla,
Chairman, The Aditya Birla Group, a US$ 28 billion corporation;
and his wife, Neerja Birla. The family has an excellent
track record and have been running schools all over India.
The
Sarala Birla Academy commenced its first academic year
in June 2004. It is affiliated to the International
General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E)
and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations
(CISCE) boards.
For
the academic year 2004-05, 128 students were admitted.
At present, the school has a strength of 419 students.
A classroom holds a maximum of 24 boys, so the teacher-student
ratio does not exceed 1:10.
Along
with academics, art, culture, music, theatre and vocational
training form an integral part of the curriculum. The
Sarala Birla Academy offers a variety of options to
you as parents to choose the co-curricular activities
for your child, depending upon his aptitude and interests.
