Dr. Shyamal Ganguli,
Director,

Dr.
Ganguli is an educationist with wide international exposure.
In an interesting career spanning over 30 years, he has
been Housemaster at The Doon School, Dehra Doon where
he taught for 24 years. Dr. Ganguli has written 30 textbooks
in chemistry and history, his specialisation subjects.
Short sabbaticals at Westminster School (U.K.), Harrow
(U.K.) and Cobham Hall (U.K.), have given him a unique
exposure to education in the U.K.
In his current role as the Director, Education, Aditya
Birla Management Corporation Limited, he is responsible
for the management and improvement of our 37 schools across
the country. He has masters degrees in science and humanities
(MSc in chemistry and MA. in history), a D.Phil. and a
B.Ed.
Dr.
Pragnya Ram, member of the governing council
Dr. Pragnya Ram has been associated with the Aditya Birla
Group for over eight years. As the Group Executive President,
Corporate Communications, Dr. Ram has been actively involved
with the group's community initiatives. She has a strong
academic background, with a Ph.D from Bombay University
and Masters degrees in history and sociology. She was
awarded the Sir Phirozeshah M. Mehta scholarship during
her Masters programme. She also holds a postgraduate diploma
in journalism from the Bombay College of Journalism and
is a recipient of the Patanjali Sethi best writer award.
Dr.
Ram began her career teaching at the Elphinston College,
Mumbai and Stella Maris, Chennai. She has also taught
at management institutes like SP Jain Institute of Management
and Research and Chetna College of Management, Mumbai.
Dr.
Ram is a director on the board of TANFAC Industries limited
and board member of the Board of Studies in Human Development
at the Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women’s
University, Mumbai. She is a member of the committee on
corporate citizenship, All India Management Association,
Delhi and a member of the Community Development Committee,
Confederation of Indian Industry, Delhi.

Radhika Sinha, Principal

Mrs.
Radhika Sinha, in her role as principal is fulfilling
her commitment towards educating young minds. She believes
that 'teaching is an ongoing process' and says that she
has learnt more than she has taught in all the years of
her career. Her innate love for children has been her
inspiration to be in this profession. She has devoted
20 years of selfless service in this field, and has taught
at premier institutions like Sacred Heart School, Jamshedpur
and Mayo College Girl's School, Ajmer. She has a Master's
degree in English literature and a Bachelor's degree in
education. She also has a CIE (Cambridge International
Examinations) diploma as a Master Trainer and is using
her expertise towards the professional development of
faculty. She has conducted workshops for children on communication
skills, public speaking and creative writing. She has
always been actively involved in dramatics, debating and
music and it is her endeavour to bring out the best in
every individual child.
Mrs.
Vani Pratap, Finance controller and Administrator
Mrs.
Vani Pratap is the finance controller and administrator
of SBA. She is a member of the senior management team
at SBA since inception and plays a vital role in the management
of the business and operations of the school. She brings
with her over 18 years of experience in the corporate
finance and investment banking sectors. She worked with
the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) for 10
years in the project finance and merchant banking areas.
Prior to joining SBA she was vice president, corporate
advisory services, Ernst & Young where she handled
several assignments in disinvestments, corporate restructuring
and merger and acquisitions.
Vani has a brilliant academic record and was a university
topper in her B.Com degree. She is a Chartered Accountant
and was awarded four gold medals by the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India for her exemplary performance
in the chartered accountancy course. She has co-authored
a book on long term debt financing and is passionate
about music while being a trained Carnatic music artist
herself.
Mr.
Felix Sanctis, Academic Coordinator
Mr.
Felix Sanctis believes that education is the foundation
of life. He has a Masters degree in History and English
and is backed by 20 years of experience in teaching and
administration.
Mr. Lonappan CV, Head of Boarding
Mr.
Lonappan is the head of boarding and has 14 years of
service as a Housemaster at premier institutions like
Lawrence School, Sanawar and Lovedale. He uses innovative
techniques to teach Biology and Biotechnology. He is
a qualified mountaineer from NIM Uttarkashi. He is an
enthusiastic and excellent photographer and uses his
expertise to promote photography and adventure activities
at the Academy.
